India Compulsory Registration Scheme(CRS) was introduced in 2013 by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) along with Bureau of India Standards (BIS). The scheme currently covers 44 products , and these products will need BIS registration in order to be sold in India. The number of products is expected to be around 135 within the next 3 to 5 years. To obtain a BIS registration a product needs to be tested at a BIS recognised lab, and test report and documentation send to Bureau of India Standards.
Nemko India is a new state-of-the-art BIS recognised testing facility located in Faridabad , 2 km outside of Delhi. The testing laboratory is manned by experienced engineers and a management team with international experience. The lab is equipped with the latest technology for performance testing and ensure product safety. Test reports issued by our lab can be used to gain BIS registration.
